How AQUAFIN®-i380 works
AQUAFIN-i380 is a silane-based injection cream for subsequent horizontal barriers, which is applied without any pressure and has a hydrophobic action against rising damp in masonry work. The material has been tested and certified in accordance with WTA data sheet 4-10 at a penetrating moisture level of 95%.
Classic aqueous horizontal barriers are used without any pressure at a moisture penetration level of < 60% and in a low pressure technique at > 60%. AQUAFIN-i380, on the other hand, can also be used without any pressure at up to 95% moisture penetration.
Masonry work without or with a defective horizontal barrier absorbs more water due to the capillary structure, which can lead to moisture damage and health risks due to issues such as mould. Retrospective injection methods against rising damp are state of the art today. AQUAFIN products have been tried and tested for 50 years.
The fine active ingredient only reacts with the substrate – not with water – and spreads quickly in the masonry work. As a result, the pores are totally saturated, the capillary walls become water-repellent, water transport is stopped and the substrate dries out.

Mark the drill holes at intervals of 10-12.5 cm.
Drill injection holes with a diameter ≥ 12 mm. The drilled hole depth is approx. 2 cm less than the masonry thickness.

AQUAFIN-i380 is a system component for retrospective internal waterproofing in conjunction with e.g. AQUAFIN-RB400 and the THERMOPAL restoration plaster system.

Clean the injection holes.
Inject AQUAFIN-i380. Then fully seal the holes with ASOCRET-M30.
