Preparing the substrate Requirement for substrate 1. Load-bearing 2. Free of adhesion inhibiting substances
Preparing the details Scrape out crumbly masonry joints approx. 2 cm deep and clean the surfaces mechanically.
Preparing the surface Remove old, damaged plasters, paints or coatings from the substrate up to 80 cm above the visible damaged area or the area delimited through inspections.
Application Application 1. Apply a thick coat to the exposed masonry work in 2 application steps (depending on the salt load and absorbency of the substrate). 2. In case of high salt contamination and highly absorbent substrate, treat the masonry twice. 1. Preparation: ESCO-FLUAT diluted 1:2 with water. 2. Preparation: ESCO-FLUAT diluted 1:1 with water. 3. After each treatment, leave ESCO-FLUAT on for ≥ 7 hours. 4. Dry sweep the surfaces approx. 24 hours after the last treatment.
Cleaning tools Clean tools thoroughly with water after use.
Storage conditions Storage Store in a frost-free, cool and dry place. At min. 5 °C for 24 months in the original container. Promptly use opened container.
Notes Protect surfaces that are not to be treated from the effects of ESCO-FLUAT! Metal vessels and equipment items are not suitable for application. In accordance with BIA 7512, no harmful indoor air pollution arises. However, in the case of very large-area applications, the interior rooms should be ventilated until the restoration plaster is applied. Clean splashes immediately with water. Glass, metals, window frames etc. can be attacked by ESCO-FLUAT.
